Reflections of the Past
Looking back over the last year, I realized I’ve come so far. This time last year, I was still hurting from a bad breakup and what was done behind my back. I was very shy and unsure of myself; didn’t talk to a lot of people and it took a lot for me to interact with others. Most of my time was spent at my house doing things that allowed me to embrace my introversion.
However, I decided to start trying new things. I’ve expanded my horizons. I’ve started DJing, even though I’m a bit nervous on the stream and stumble over my words, I’m still doing it. That took a lot of courage for me to do. I’m hosting on another night. I’m helping to setup a new scouts system because the Cookie Obsession Scouts is closing it’s doors at the end of this month. I have come a long way since last year. I even got married for the first time in the whole time I’ve been in SL. That was huge because in the almost 9 years I’ve been in SL, I have never met a man like RJ. He’s good and kind, treats me with respect and love. Something I hadn’t had for the longest time. All of this paves the way for a brighter future with my husband, family and friends.
Looking Towards the Future
Looking forward into the future, I can see us going through another year of happiness, fun and carefree love. I see our new endeavor, Global Scouts, taking off and we have fun with it. Not only do I hope for a long future with RJ, but I am grateful for him every single day. He lifts me up when I am down, sets me straight when I’m wrong and supports me in everything I do.
Another change over this last year is I’ve gained a new sister. We have grown so close that we annoy each other and come back for more at times. She is my light and my rock. She tells me when I’m wrong and she helps me see how I am only human and still allowed to make mistakes even when others make me feel like I have to always be perfect. She’s this amazing woman who has been with me through a lot this year and I hope to see her with me in the future forever…my forever sister.
Goals
Looking forward, I have so many goals I want to reach over the next year. I want to become a better DJ and learn how to express myself better on the stream. I want to become a better photographer in SL. Advance my skills and expand myself so I take more risks. I want to earn my degrees in UFS academy degree program…for fun, if nothing else. I have so much that I want to do over the next year, both in SL and in RL. From increasing my skills to expanding myself to experiencing new and awesome things. Sometimes I may write about my accomplishments and failures…as I feel comfortable.
