Today, a FB group I’m in released a Photoshop challenge. We were to do a full body shot and then describe what we did to get it. Here’s my full body shot…before and after…and the steps that I took to get to the finished product. For this photoshop challenge, I chose to go to Netherwood in SL and stand on the pier. I added my DFS Fishing rod and used a nice pose to turn me away from the camera. The camera angle I chose is from the back forward, as if I were fishing.
Instead of using preferences/graphics, I used Phototools for my settings (See gallery below). I do it this way in order to be able to pick and choose which settings I need to use. I find that if I use Ultra instead, I’ll crash. This way I’m able to use ambient occlusion and depth of field….which is weird because up until the other day I was unable to use ambient occlusion without having a hard crash! I used the Netherwood region light for my windlight so I’m not sure which light she’s got on her sim, but it was beautiful when I turned on shadows and lighting, I couldn’t resist.
The second set of screenshots is from within Photoshop, I used the Nik collection and my own recipe that I compiled, but only used filters that enhanced, not changed the picture. I exported the recipe and uploaded it to Dropbox for anyone who wants to try it! Here is my before pic and my after pic for this challenge. I hope you like it! As always, the information for location, pose, clothing and so on is below! Enjoy!
